WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This two day seminar will provide both knowledge and practice-based opportunities for continuing education and development related to the treatment of traumatic responses in clients across the lifespan.

Dr.s Stephen Lenz and Katy Dondanville have drawn on their collective expertise as practitioners, trainers, educators, and program coordinators to plan this unique, two days of training for attendees. Day one’s morning session will offer three didactic, discussion-oriented modules related to: (a) core issues surrounding healing from trauma, (b) impacts of trauma treatment on service providers, and (c) strategies for self-care, training, and evidence-based practice. Day one’s afternoon sessions will be practice-oriented sessions where attendees can choose between specialty tracks related to treating child/adolescent or adults. Both child/adolescent and adult tracks will provide case application, skill development, and feedback opportunities related to core concepts/skills, beginning sessions, middle sessions, processing components, and closing remarks/feedback.  Day two, the attendees will remain in their chosen specialty tracks to develop further knowledge and implementation strategies through; case application, role plays, skill practice, and feedback opportunities.

DISCLAIMER: This is a two day training. The first day of this training is the SAME CONTENT as the Trauma Seminar offered in January 2019. You may only receive CEUs for this seminar by attending BOTH days of the trainings.
